Data Collection
This extension does not collect, store, transmit, or share personal data with any developer-owned external server. All feature data (such as followers, following, posts, stories, highlights, favorites, and alarms) and user preferences (theme, language, and module settings) are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API and remain on your device.
We do not collect user data now, and we do not plan to collect user data in the future. If that ever changes, this policy will be updated before any new collection begins.
How It Works
This extension works with your existing logged-in Instagram session in your browser. It fetches required Instagram data directly from Instagram/Meta domains and processes results locally inside the extension runtime. No request data is sent to any developer-owned backend.
Network Requests
The extension communicates only with official Instagram/Meta domains required for functionality:
instagram.com: profile, story, highlight, search, and page-context operations.
i.instagram.com: API endpoints for followers, following, feed, likers, and stories.
cdninstagram.com: profile pictures and media assets delivered by Instagram CDN.
fbcdn.net: media assets delivered by Meta/Facebook CDN subdomains (including common scontent-*.fbcdn.net and video-*.fbcdn.net patterns).
No data from these requests is collected for external analytics, logged to developer-owned servers, or shared with third parties.
Third-Party Services
This extension does not use third-party analytics, tracking, advertising, telemetry, or data broker services.
Permissions
The extension requires the following permissions, each used only for the stated purpose:
storage: Save local feature state, cache, favorites, alarms, notifications, theme/language, and module preferences on device.
downloads: Save media files only when the user explicitly triggers a download action.
alarms: Run periodic local checks for story alarm/notification functionality.
cookies: Read Instagram csrftoken for authenticated requests to Instagram endpoints.
declarativeNetRequest: Enable/disable local rules for story seen/receipt blocking behavior in story-viewer protection mode.
https://www.instagram.com/*: Inject extension UI and access required Instagram web endpoints.
https://i.instagram.com/*: Access Instagram API endpoints used by features.
https://*.cdninstagram.com/*: Load profile and media assets from Instagram CDN.
https://*.fbcdn.net/*: Load media assets from Meta/Facebook CDN.
Local Storage
All extension data remains on your device. Local storage may include:
Followers List: Followers with usernames, IDs, and available profile metadata.
Following List: Following users with usernames, IDs, and available profile metadata.
Posts: Recent post metadata such as media IDs, shortcodes, and thumbnails.
Post Likers: Liker mappings used for engagement insights.

Story Viewer Data: Favorites, alarms, notifications, and seen history.
Preferences: Theme, language, and module enable/disable settings.
Logged-in User Context: Account information needed to run features quickly.
