Data Collection

When the user invokes capture, the extension reads the current page title, URL, readable content, and available transcript text. This website content and current-page browsing information is processed locally to build the requested summary prompt. Depending on the user's auto-submit setting, the prompt is either placed in or submitted to the AI provider selected by the user.

The extension does not send captured content, preferences, or usage information to any developer-owned server. User preferences (selected AI provider, custom prompt and template, shortcut, language, theme, temporary chat mode, auto-submit setting, content delivery strategy, feature state, and last sidebar tab) are stored locally in Chrome storage. Unfinished multi-part delivery data is stored only in Chrome's session storage as described below.

The developer does not receive or retain this data. If the extension's data practices change, this policy and the in-product disclosures will be updated before the new behavior begins.

How It Works

This extension captures the active page only after the user invokes the capture command. It extracts the page title, URL, and readable content, builds a prompt locally, opens the selected AI provider, and fills the provider composer with the generated draft. The selected AI provider receives the prompt because the user chose to send the captured content there.

No captured content is sent to any developer-owned backend.

Network Requests

The extension can open and interact with the following supported chat domains solely to deliver user-initiated prompts:

chatgpt.com

chat.openai.com

claude.ai

gemini.google.com

grok.com

aistudio.google.com

chat.mistral.ai

The extension declares HTTP/HTTPS host access so a packaged, lightweight
two-step shortcut listener can be available on normal web pages. That listener
does not read page content. Source extraction starts only after the user
completes the configured shortcut.

Third-Party Services

This extension does not use third-party analytics, tracking, advertising, telemetry, or data broker services.

The extension can send user-initiated prompts to the AI provider selected by the user. Those providers are separate third-party services governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data is used only to provide the extension's disclosed page-capture and prompt-delivery functionality. It is not sold, used for personalized advertising, or made available for unrelated human review.

Permissions

The extension requires the following permissions, each used only for the stated purpose:

storage: Save extension preferences locally, including selected AI provider, custom prompt/template, shortcut, language, theme, temporary chat mode, auto-submit setting, content delivery strategy, feature state, and last sidebar tab. Session storage also holds unfinished delivery state until completion, cancellation, tab closure, or browser shutdown.

scripting: Inject packaged source-capture scripts into the active page only after the user invokes the capture command.

sidePanel: Display the extension sidebar settings UI.

http://*/* and https://*/*: Run the packaged shortcut listener and inject packaged capture scripts after the two-step shortcut succeeds.

Local Storage

All stored extension preferences and unfinished delivery records remain on your device. Local storage may include:

Selected AI Provider: The AI chat provider chosen by the user.

Prompt Settings: Custom summary prompt, source template, and content delivery strategy.

Automation Preferences: Capture shortcut, temporary/private chat, and auto-submit settings.

Interface Preferences: Theme, language, and last sidebar tab.

Feature State: Local enabled/disabled state for extension features.

Captured Content

Captured page title, URL, readable text, and available transcript text are used to build a prompt for the selected AI provider. The extension does not store a permanent history of captured pages.

While a multi-part delivery is unfinished, its source payload and progress are
kept in Chrome's session-only extension storage so a service worker restart or
provider-page reload can resume safely. This record is removed on completion,
cancellation, target-tab closure, or browser-session end.

Data Retention

Persistent preferences are retained locally on your device until you:

Uninstall the extension (extension storage is removed by Chrome)

Manually clear extension/browser storage

Change or reset settings in the extension

Captured page data is not kept as a permanent history. An unfinished delivery remains in session storage only until completion, cancellation, target-tab closure, or browser-session end.

User Rights

You can:

Review locally stored extension data from Chrome extension tools

Delete stored data by uninstalling the extension or clearing extension storage

Choose which AI provider receives generated prompts

Disable auto-submit and review prompts before sending

Change or clear your custom prompt
